The face behind Minka
Minka Atelier was founded by Yasmine Sun, a fashion designer and bridal artisan with over 11 years of sewing experience.
With a background spanning bridal styling, patternmaking, technical design and product development, Yasmine brings together technical expertise and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.
Her fashion design training in Quebec City was followed by professional experience across Australia and Canada, working with a wide range of fabrics, silhouettes and garment construction techniques.
Her approach to bridal accessories is also shaped by specialist training in haute couture embroidery, where she developed an appreciation for the patience, precision and intricate handwork behind couture craftsmanship.
Today, Minka Atelier is based in Lyon, France, where each piece is designed and handmade in the atelier.
From delicate veils and hand-embellished pieces to custom bridal accessories, every creation is thoughtfully developed with an emphasis on beautiful materials, considered construction and meticulous detail. Traditional techniques are combined with a modern, understated sensibility to create pieces that feel romantic, refined and personal.
